Digital PDF Sewing Pattern (no paper sent): Drop-Shoulder Dress with Low V-Neckline, Front Button Closure & Side Ties
Pattern code: mc2-2009
This dress has a softly loose fit at upper body, with shape created by wide Waistband & adjustable Side Ties.
Drop-Shoulders give an easy, relaxed look, while deep V-Neckline and button-front help create a longer, flattering line.
You can tie Side Ties tighter for more waist shaping, or leave them looser for a softer fit.
Skirt has gentle fullness from pleats at Waistline, so dress moves nicely and feels comfortable to wear.

SUITABLE MATERIALS
Light to medium-weight woven fabrics with a soft drape work best for this design. Viscose/rayon, crepe, challis, soft cotton, cotton lawn, linen blends, tencel, washed linen, and lightweight chambray are all good choices.
For a more fluid, feminine look, choose fabrics that fall softly and gather easily.
For a slightly more sculpted silhouette, use fabrics with a little more body, but avoid anything too stiff or bulky, as it may affect drape around V-Neckline, Waistband, and gathered sections.
* Size S: 150 × 265 cm (59" × 105")
* Size 2XL: 150 × 295 cm (59" × 117")
As always, it's impossible to give fabric amounts for every fabric type and every size. For clarity, I provide yardage for both the smallest and largest sizes, based on a suitable fabric width. To stay on the safe side, you may follow the largest cutting layout for any other size.
To find out the AMOUNT for a particular FABRIC in your size, you might like taking your pattern to the fabric shop – their assistants are always happy to help.
Otherwise, do it yourself:
- stretch a flat bed-sheet on a table or floor;
- fold it to the width of the material you plan to use;
- arrange ALL pattern pieces paying attention to the grainline desired-directions and seam allowances;
- measure the length you have got.
