Digital-PDF Sewing Pattern – Long Bomber Jacket with Side Panels & Welt Pockets (mc2-5003)
A relaxed, contemporary take on the classic bomber silhouette — designed for comfort, versatility, and easy layering.
✨ Design Features:
* Mid-thigh length, slightly oversized fit — perfect for casual or streetwear looks.
* Curved side panels — create a flattering vertical line and neatly conceal welt pockets within the seams.
* Front zipper fastening — runs from neckline to hem for a clean, modern finish.
* Ribbed knit collar, cuffs, and waistband — add structure and a timeless bomber touch.
* Dropped shoulders and roomy sleeves — enhance the laid-back fit and allow freedom of movement.
* Not lined — ideal for midweight fabrics or creating an unlined transitional jacket.
🧵 Skill Level: CHALLENGE (recommended for sewists with some experience due to welt pockets and zipper insertion).
💡 Suggested Fabrics: Medium-weight woven or knit materials such as cotton twill, denim, linen blends, soft wool, boucle, or stable knits.
📏 Sizes: S-M-L-XL-2XL (individually layered printable sizes).
To determine your size, please refer to the MC2 Body Measurements Chart (see photo).

When in doubt, follow the largest layout for safety.

To find out the AMOUNT for a particular FABRIC in your size, you might like taking your pattern to the fabric shop – their assistants are always happy to help.
Otherwise, do it yourself:
- stretch a flat bed-sheet on a table or floor;
- fold it to the width of the material you plan to use;
- arrange ALL pattern pieces paying attention to the grainline desired-directions and seam allowances;
- measure the length you have got.
