This skirt is designed with a fitted pencil silhouette, so fabric choice and size selection are important.
Choose your size according to your body measurements, especially your waist and hips.
The back vent helps with movement, but the skirt is still intended to keep a slim, tailored shape.
If you are between sizes, it is usually safer to choose the larger size and adjust the waist or side seams during fitting.

Sizes Included:
* UK: 10–12–14–16–18–20
* US: 6–8–10–12–14–16

SUITABLE MATERIALS
Best made in medium-weight woven fabrics with some structure:
• UK 10: 150 × 80 cm (60" × 32")
• UK 20: 150 × 90 cm (60" × 36")

It's impossible to give fabric amounts for every fabric type and every size. For clarity, I provide yardage for both the smallest and largest sizes, based on a suitable fabric width. To stay on the safe side, you may follow the largest cutting layout for any other size.

To find out the AMOUNT for a particular FABRIC in your size, you might like taking your pattern to the fabric shop – their assistants are always happy to help.

Otherwise, do it yourself:

  • stretch a flat bed-sheet on a table or floor;
  • fold it to the width of the material you plan to use;
  • arrange ALL pattern pieces paying attention to the grainline desired-directions and seam allowances;
  • measure the length you have got.
