Two Ways for Making Waistband
1. Waistband without Elastic Tape
Use a special rib-knit material for best results (the density of the ribbed material should be adequate to the density of the main fabric for the garment).
The waistband length would be your Waist measurement minus 2.5 cm (1").
OR
2. Waistband with Elastic Tape Inside
Use your Main material + Elastic tape
Elastic tape: 2 cm (¾”) wide and as long as your actual Waist measurement.
You can sew either on an overlock machine (serger) or on a sewing machine.
