Inspired by the iconic style of Lindsey Thornburg’s Pendleton Trench Cloak.
A relaxed hooded coat/cape/cloak designed for thick, cosy fabrics such as a travel rug or blanket. The silhouette is loose and softly flared, making it comfortable for layering while keeping an easy cape-like feel. It features a large hood, toggle front fastening, roomy sleeves, and oversized patch pockets. Designed without lining, it is a simple and stylish outer layer with a warm, handcrafted look.

CUSTOMISATION SUGGESTIONS
- swap the toggles for buttons, snaps, or a zip, 
- reshape or enlarge the pockets, 
- deepen the hood, 
- bind the edges, 
- adjust the length from a shorter jacket to a dramatic cloak,
- add a lining for a neater finish, 
- use faux fur or fleece for extra warmth.

ONE SIZE to fit sizes S-M-L-XL
   This pattern was drafted as ONE SIZE, carefully designed to fit a wide range of body sizes S-M-L-XL, thanks to its generous swing shape, raglan seams, and roomy hood.

Recommended Materials:
* Soft, thick, cosy blanket, travel rug, or similar fabric.
* Ideal for wool or fleece blankets with some structure.
* Perfect for upcycling your favourite blanket into a functional garment.

Blanket / Fabric Amount:
130 × 180 cm (approx. 52" × 72")

As always, it's impossible to give fabric amounts for every fabric type.

To find out the AMOUNT for a particular FABRIC in your size, you might like taking your pattern to the fabric shop – their assistants are always happy to help.

Otherwise, do it yourself:

  • stretch a flat bed-sheet on a table or floor;
  • fold it to the width of the material you plan to use;
  • arrange ALL pattern pieces paying attention to the grainline desired-directions and seam allowances;
  • measure the length you have got.
